Kaiten Gaming ("we", "us") makes the games listed on kaitengaming.com, including Forgebit, Bedtime Blacksmith, Little Thwack, Starhop Isles, Ages of the Anvil and Bonk Through Time. You can play them on our websites, inside partner platforms such as Jest, and in our mobile apps. This policy explains what information the games collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Game account. A random account ID we create when you first play, and your game progress: your hero's look and name, gear, levels, currencies and settings.
- Sign-in IDs. If you play through a platform (such as Jest) or link Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an ID from that service so you can keep your progress. We do not ask Apple or Google for your name or email address.
- Social features. Messages you post in world or clan chat, your clan membership, friend referrals, and the hero card (name, look and power) shown on leaderboards and to other players.
- Purchases. A record of in-game purchases (what was bought, when, and the platform's transaction ID). Payments are handled by the platform or app store; we never see your card or bank details.
- Device and usage information. How you play (for example which features you use and where new players get stuck), plus technical details such as browser or device type, screen size, language, approximate performance, and errors. Our hosting and analytics providers also process your IP address, which they use for security and to estimate your country.
- Stored on your device. On our websites, a sign-in token and your settings are kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To run the game: save your progress, sync it across devices, and run leaderboards, clans, chat and events.
- To handle purchases, restore them, and process refunds.
- To keep the game fair and safe: prevent cheating, spam and abuse, and moderate chat.
- To understand and improve the games, for example balancing difficulty and fixing bugs.
- To send game notifications you turn on, such as "your chest is ready".
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run the game for us: Cloudflare (hosting and game servers) and PostHog (analytics).
- Platforms and app stores you play through, as needed for sign-in and purchases.
- Other players, who can see your hero card, leaderboard rank, clan and chat messages.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect players and the service.
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep your game data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your heroes, logins, clan membership and chat messages. We keep purchase records as long as needed for refunds, accounting and tax law. Analytics data is linked to your game account ID, never to your name or contact details.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account in the game: open your profile, then Account → Delete account. If you play on Jest, or can't open the game, email us and we will delete it for you.
- You can turn notifications off in the game or in your device settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to object to some uses. Email us and we will help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and access controls on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell you in the game when the change is important.
